Jaipur : The Mahindra group, Indias leading diversified corporate house, Monday signed an agreement with the Rajasthan government to set up a special economic zone (SEZ) here that aims to attract investments worth Rs. 140 billion ($3 billion) and create about 100,000 jobs.
Mahindra Gesco Developers Ltd and Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation Ltd (RIICO) signed a shareholders agreement for the development of the 2,500-acre SEZ and a 500-acre domestic tariff area (DTA) near Jaipur on the national highway connecting the state capital with Ajmer.
