Artech, a MNC IT company, has reportedly opened an IT centre for women dubbed the Artech Centre for Information Technology, in association with the Banasthali Vidyapith located in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The Banasthali Vidyapith qualifies as one of the five universities in the country, meant exclusively for women.
Under the aegis of this association, the Banasthali Vidyapith, a 70-year old institution dedicated to the cause of womens education, will provide a Bachelors and a Masters Degree in the domain of Information Technology, and will help computerize other departments of the varsity.
The newly-opened center will train women with a judicious mix of software, hardware, and communication technologies, and will enable research and development in the field of IT. The center plans to provide the right blend of academic and technological expertise and entrepreneurial attitude, through its five-fold education program.
