SAD (A) condemns Jaipur incident

Filed under:

Ludhiana : SAD (A) has reacted sharply to the Jaipur incident where the hair of a Sikh youth was forcibly cut when he objected to the indecent behaviour by certain people with a girl student in Jaipur.

President Simranjeet Singh Mann and senior vice-president Daljit Singh, in a joint press statement, alleged that the rulers of this country are encouraging the fundamentalist forces to create a situation of terror and humiliation for the minority communities and Sikhs are being targeted with these sinister intentions. They said Sikhs the world over are outraged at the incident.

They demanded that the government arrest the culprits, the principal of the educational institute be sacked for not taking action and the police officials who did not take action against the culprits also be punished.

They criticised the Sikh leaders who are allegedly becoming a tool in the hands of Hindutava forces and are out to harm their own community. Such leaders should introspect about their destructive role, said Mann.
