Jaipur : The National Commission for Minorities on Monday said the alleged forcible hair cut of a Sikh boy here last week was related to eve-teasing of a school girl by some outsiders and not to any caste, creed or community incident.
Outsiders targeted Inderpreet, the Sikh boy, after he protested eve teasing of a girl of a Kendriya Vidalaya, NCM member Harcharan Singh Josh told reporters here.
Despite Inderpreets complaint to the school principal about a similar eve teasing incident a month ago, no action was taken against culprits, he said.
Josh, however, welcomed the arrest of main accused Arjun Meena in the forcible hair cut case.
He said as part of its investigation into the incident, the NCM had held talks with concerned people, police and state government officials.
