England land difficult Trophy schedule

England will play their group games in the 2006 ICC Champions Trophy in Jaipur and Ahmedabad.

England will take part in the competition following home series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan and just before the Ashes tour begins.

They will take on hosts India in Jaipur on October 15 and Australia at the same venue six days later.

One of two qualifiers will be Englands opposition in Ahmedabad for their third game on October 28.

The top two from the group will progress to the semi-finals with each match being played under day/night conditions, with floodlights.

Mohali and Mumbai will host all the other matches in the competition.
