Keeping up with the political stature

At Hardwar, Munda celebrates the inauguration of Patanjali Yogpeeths health care centre. The officials of the chief ministers office defended his visit to Uttaranchal, saying he is going there on Baba Ramdevs invitation and other chief ministers would join him.

After Hardwar, it remains to be seen where the chief minister heads to next. Officials, who should be in the know of Mundas schedules, declined to give details of his itinerary for the next week.

In the last week of March, following the adjournment of the budget session of the Assembly, Munda and NDA MLAs made the controversial pilgrimage to Ajmer in a chartered flight from New Delhi and returning in it from Jaipur. Within hours of returning from Jaipur, he took another flight for his two-day electioneering in Assam. This, of course, could not be an official trip for fear of the Election Commission.

For the next two days, Munda was in Ranchi to celebrate Sarhul and attend the Ranchi University convocation.

On Monday, he was in Jamshedpur and yesterday, the chief minister, accompanying his wife, went to Seraikela to inaugurate a silk training centre in Kuchai — which is also his sasural. The Munda couple returned to Ranchi in the governments seven-seat helicopter.
