Top Reliance officers killed in Jaipur road accident

Jaipur : Two top Reliance officials were killed in a major accident, when their car was crushed between a trolley and truck on the Jaipur-Delhi national highway.

The cars driver was also killed in the mishap which occured yesterday. According to police, Mr Satish Bansal, president of Reliance Petroleum Limited (RPL) and Mr Kuldip Bawa, vice-president, RPL, had come to Delhi from Mumbai only a day earlier.

They were on their way to Jaipur on official work when their car got stuck in a one-way jam in Manoharpur, about 65 km from Jaipur, as one side of the road was closed due to ongoing construction work.

A trolley suddenly emerged and hit the car which backtracked and was subsequently hit hard by a truck coming from behind. The car then got enmeshed between the trolley and tractor, say eyewitnesses.
