Hollywood childrens film shot in Rajasthani backdrop
Jaipur - The exotic locations of Rajasthan have attracted yet another Hollywood unit to shoot a childrens film in the desert state.
The film, titled Travels of Shaka Muni, is produced by Mako Kamitsuna under the aegis of Hollywood production house Buddha Baby Entertainment.
Actress Rebecca Prince plays protagonist Shaka Muni in the film directed by Natalie Wills. While in India, the unit is being assisted by Exotique Productions, an Indian production house run by V. Jayaraman and Gautam Kurup.
Basically, it is a movie for kids. Shaka Muni is an elephant, which loves children and travels across various parts of the world and shares his experiences and stories with them. It also tells them about the culture and people of the other parts of the world, Gautam Kurup told IANS.
The movie will, in all probability, be released in October in the US. The movie would be shot in various countries like Japan, India, Mexico, Ghana and the US (Los Angeles), said Kurup.
In India the film is being shot in Jaipur, Udaipur and Agra. Having shot in Udaipur, the unit arrived in the Rajasthani capital Friday and have captured several locations including Hawa Mahal, Chokhi Dhani, the ethnic village resort, and various market places in the walled city areas.
After completing a sequence at the well known Amber Fort, apart from other historical monuments, the crew will head for Agra.
