Jaipur - Five participant countries in the 2006 FIFA World Cup will carry flags made in India.
The Chagan Lal and Sons, one of the flag makers here, has been asked to tailor flags and banners for Brazil, Germany, England, Italy and Croatia.
We have received the orders directly from Germany. Initially, we have been asked to prepare flags and banners for five major football champions, Rajesh Agarwal, the owner of the firm, told IANS.
Agarwals firm has been asked to prepare about 10,000 flags and banners in polyester fabric for each country, and a part of the order has already been sent to Germany.
Our work was so much appreciated that we have now received an order for the reprint of these flags, he said.
Earlier, the reprint order was to be given to China, but seeing our quality of work, it was diverted to us, Agarwal said.
He said his firm had a distinguished reputation in flag and banner making as it regularly made flags and other publicity material for political parties.
