Jaipur, India (AHN) - Thanks to a prosthetic foot developed by a non-governmental organization in Jaipur, India, more than 20 crippled victims of landmines in Lebanon will be able to walk.
Two members from the Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS) set up a camp in Beirut where they fitted the Jaipur Foot on 22 Lebanese who had lost their legs.

Mehta, founder and patron of the organization told the Indo-Asian News Agency, Colonel Subash Pawar, of the fourth battalion of the Sikh regiment and part of the 11-nation United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), approached us to alleviate the sufferings of people with amputated limbs in that country.

Devraj Singh and Lalitya Kumari are seeking management control of the property, which has since been converted into a heritage hotel and leased to the Taj Group. The property is being administered by Gayatri Devis stepson Hari Singh.

After BMVSS proposed providing the artificial limbs free of cost, Col. Pawar contacted the organisation and even visited Jaipur to discuss the modalities of holding a camp.

Jaipur : Vatika Group has secured the governments nod for a Rs. 21-billion ($450 million) IT park as a special economic zone (SEZ) in Jaipur, the company said in a statement Tuesday.
The entire IT SEZ project would be developed in phases spread over a period of three to four years, with the initial development plan targeting an area of a million square feet, the company said.
The SEZ area would be developed as a self-contained IT Park with infrastructure facilities for complete power backup, adequate parking in multilevel basement, its own water supply and sewage treatment system.
The first phase is expected to commence in six months from now, the company said, adding that the project was coming up on Ajmer Road, west of Jaipur, which is well connected with an eight-lane expressway.
The project will get a tax holiday of 100 percent for the first five years and 50 percent for subsequent five years as per the central governments policy for such zones.
Jaipur - Tourists travelling in Rajasthans luxurious Palace on Wheels train can now look forward to a herbal bath as well as internet facilities.
Passengers would now be provided with special ayurveda products like herbal and aloe vera soaps, gels, lotions and shampoos.
The decision to equip the train with such ayurveda products was taken after a survey conducted by Rajasthan Tourist Development Corporation (RTDC) and also keeping in mind the requests of the passengers commuting by the train, a senior tourism department official said.
The RTDC conducted a survey in the states luxury hotels to know the preferences of the tourists.
The Palace on Wheels that is run jointly by Indian Railways and RTDC comprises of 14 fully air-conditioned deluxe saloons and is equipped with world-class amenities to enhance the pleasure of travelling.

Chandigarh : In a significant move that will affect a number of people travelling between Chandigarh and Delhi, Haryana Roadways has decided to convert 20 non-AC deluxe buses into semi deluxe buses. The fares will also be slashed by 50 per cent.
Out of the 20 buses, two will be plied on the Chandigarh-Shimla route and two on the Chandigarh-Jaipur circuit and the rest will be running between Chandigarh and Delhi.
According to Haryana Roadways officials the move came as these buses completed four years of service and as rule deluxe buses are converted into semi deluxe buses after four years and after seven years the buses are put out of service.
